Wesley Chapel, Florida - BKT USA Inc. is looking to open a third US warehouse, somewhere in the Midwest, to service its growing customer base, BKT vice president Doug Kershaw has said.
He made the comments during the 2019 TIA OTR Tire Conference held in Tampa, Florida, 20-23 Feb.
BKT distributes tires it imports from India from two existing warehouses, in Wando, South Carolina, and Wilmington, California.
Speaking as part of a tire manufacturers' panel at the OTR Tire Show, Kershaw declined to be more specific about the Midwest warehouse, saying only the company hopes to have a decision final in the next couple of months.
Parent company Balkrishna Industries Ltd. is also scouting for location for a planned €88-million production facility in the US.
