Trinseo names former SI Group boss as president, CEO

Berwyn, Pennsylvania – Trinseo SA has appointed Frank Bozich as president and CEO, effective 4 March, the company announced 30 Jan.

Bozich was most recently president and CEO of SI Group, a Schenectady, New York-based chemical company.

He replaces Christopher Pappas who is retiring from the company after nine years.

Pappas will assume the role of ‘special adviser to the CEO’ to support a smooth transition.

Bozich led SI Group between 2013 and 2019, where he helped the company grow its chemical intermediates and speciality resins businesses.

In 2018, SI Group was acquired by SK Capital Partners and merged with Addivant, another portfolio company of SK Capital.

Prior to joining SI Group, Bozich held several executive management positions at BASF, including president of BASF's catalysts division.

Bozich holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.

He also holds a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois.

Bozich will be based at Trinseo’s global operations headquarters in Berwyn.
