General rubber goods members “chose to resign” from Brussels-based industry body
Brussels – The European Tire & Rubber Manufacturers Association (ETRMA) has confirmed the recent departures of Germany’s WDK and other rubber industry associations from the pan-industry organisation.
In a written reply to ERJ’s enquiry, the Brussels-based association stated that the general rubber goods associations “chose to resign from ETRMA at the end of last year” - without providing background details.
ETRMA did thank the associations “for their significant contributions over the years” and support for “our shared goals in sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness within the European tire and rubber industry.”
The statement, supplied 17 April, went on to highlight ETRMA’s commitment to maintaining open dialogue and collaboration with former members and other stakeholders on issues of mutual interest.
“We will also continue our mission to advocate for a regulatory environment that supports sustainability, drive innovation, and the long-term competitiveness for the industry,” ETRMA concluded.
ERJ is requesting further information about this development from industry stakeholders involved
