Agreement covers distribution of Vistalon EPDM grades in Europe, including Turkey, and Africa
Hamburg, Germany – German distributor Biesterfeld has agreed with ExxonMobil Petroleum & Chemical to market its Vistalon EPDM grades in Europe, including Turkey, and Africa.
The agreement builds upon a long-standing collaboration between the two companies and will now enable Biesterfeld to offer a broader portfolio in Europe, said the German group 2 April.
ExxonMobil's EPDM product family includes grades manufactured using both Ziegler-Natta catalysis and metallocene catalysis and are produced at three locations in two global regions.
According to Biesterfeld, the products offer “particularly good physical properties and outstanding processing advantages compared to natural and general-purpose rubbers.”
The elastomer also provides high ozone and UV resistance, as well as its heat resistance.
Other advantages of the products include elastic properties under compression set and electrical insulation for use in low- and medium-voltage cables.
The materials are available in pellet and bale form and can be used in a range of applications in the automotive, consumer goods, and industrial sectors.
