New sales & service MD brings international strategic management experience to moulding machinery major
Fridingen, Germany – Klöckner Desma Elastomertechnik GmbH has appointed Georgios Dermentzakis as managing director sales & service, parent group Salzgitter AG has announced.
At the rubber moulding machinery specialist, Dermentzakis will be responsible for sales, export shipping, customer service, marketing, IT and data protection as well as quality management.
He will also support Dr. Michael Zaunsupport, who has been managing director for the technical and operational areas since September 2022, in his other management activities.
Dermentzakis is an experienced expert in international sales and strategic management with a technical and business background, said the announcement supplied 17 March.
He was previously head of sales EU at Messer Cutting Systems and before that held senior sales roles at Schuler Pressen, becoming sales director with global responsibility, including for market development in China.
Dermentzakis also brings further experience from a former role as a project manager at Herrenknecht AG, the statement continued.
The industrial engineering graduate began his training as an industrial mechanic and subsequently also worked as a service technician.
