Munich, Germany – Wacker Chemie AG expects to see growth across all its divisions in 2025, including a significant increase in volumes within its silicones business.
For 2025, the Munich-based group anticipates overall sales to range between €6.1 billion and €6.4 billion, up from €5.7 billion reported in 2024.
Earnings (EBITDA) for the year are projected to be in the range of €700-900 million, compared to €763 million reported in 2024.
Breaking down the performance by divisions, the group said its silicones operations increased its sales and earnings in 2024.
Sales came to €2.81 billion, up 2% year-on-year while earnings grew 47% to €347 million, said Wacker in a 12 March annual report.
The chemicals group linked the growth to “improved product-mix, with a significantly higher proportion of speciality products, and better plant utilisation rates.”
For 2025, president and CEO Christian Hartel, said demand for Wacker’s silicones, especially for speciality products, “continues to show a very positive development.”
The group expects to see higher volumes in this area this year with sales set for 10% growth over 2024, according to the Wacker leader.
