EBITDA for first quarter of 2025 projected to come in well below previous year’s figure
Vienna – Semperit AG Holding has forecast earnings (EBITDA) to decline by around 50% in the first quarter of 2025 – versus the €23 million achieved in the same period last year.
In an 11 March trading update, the Vienna-based industrial rubber products maker linked the decline to an “ongoing difficult market environment.”
However, for the second half of the year, Semperit’s executive board expects “a market recovery to start in individual regions.”
As a result, the Austrian group forecast operating EBITDA to range between €70 million and €90 million for full-year 2025.
The projection “takes into account further cost-saving measures [but] depends on the timing and intensity of the market recovery.”
