Midlands-based extrusion specialist brings ‘complementary product and process solutions…’
Birmingham, UK – Reddiplex Group has acquired Veker Extrusions, a Birmingham-based manufacturer of rubber extrusion products for domestic and international markets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquired business is “one of the leading independent players in the UK market,” said Evolve Corporate Finance (ECF), which advised Veker on its sale to the Droitwich, Worcestershire-headquartered group.
The sale, it added, “will enable the business to grow and invest further in product development and innovation while simultaneously providing a full exit for its shareholders.
Veker supplies rubber extrusions, gaskets, seals, and mouldings to UK and overseas clients, mainly in the construction, marine, automotive and rail industries.
Reddiplex, which manufactures extruded plastics and rubber products, has gained “several unique and complementary product and process solutions” through the acquisition, said ECF’s 4 March release.
The sale “marks an exciting new chapter for Veker… bringing together the manufacturing capabilities, products and process solutions of both businesses,” said Paul Kersel, managing director at Veker.
With 2024 sales of £22 million (€26 million), privately-owned Reddiplex employs around 150 people and generates about 25% of its revenues outside of the UK.
