Rubber machinery major says order backlog provides “very positive outlook” for 2025
Fridingen, Germany – Desma Elastomertechnik has signalled new investment plans to expand its mould and cold runner business this year in response to “continued strong demand”.
The rubber machinery maker's production of mould and cold runner systems for elastomers has grown over the recent years and locations “significantly expanded and modernised.”
To further enhance production of rubber and silicone moulded articles, Desma has built up the capabilities of the local teams across its locations in Germany, the US, India and China.
“Production capacities at all locations have been systematically expanded... to offer appropriate production options in mould-making,” added a 17 Jan company release.
Investments were also made in new production machinery worldwide in 2024, including a five-axis milling, turning, and grinding centre put into operation in Fridingen recently.
Desma posted “record sales and order-intake” in the mould-construction segment last year, with an order backlog from 2024 providing a “very positive outlook for this year.”
Desma linked the high demand for the company's offerings to its “optimum mould concept” and its ability to offer the “best possible CO2 balance” in manufacturing processes.
