Scores 84 in S&P global annual review of automotive and components sector
Milan, Italy – Pirelli & C. SpA has achieved a ‘top score’ for the second year in a row in the automobiles & components sector on the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe indices.
Pirelli said that it was “the only” tire company included in both indices having scored 84 points in the 2024 S&P corporate sustainability assessment – up one point from its prior-year rating.
Pirelli said it earned top scores in several areas, including business ethics, attention to human rights, programmes and policies for health and safety in the workplace, ESG management and classification of the supply chain.
The Milan-based tire maker also received top scores for activities towards ‘net zero by 2040’ targets, according to its statement issued 23 Dec 2024.
