German waste tire recycler submits emissions approval, building permit for factory in Perl-Besch, Germany
Dillingen/Saar, Germany – Pyrum Innovations AG expects to break ground on its second end-of-life tire (ELT) pyrolysis plant in Germany in the spring next year as it has progressed approval procedures for the facility.
The company submitted the ‘federal emissions control act’ approval as well as documents for the early start of construction on the new factory in Perl-Besch, Saarland, said Pyrum 17 Dec.
Pyrum said it previously faced “slight delays” due to technical optimisations at its existing site in Dillingen/Saar and the subsequent need for more extensive expert opinions.
“After the last technical information was received, the application for the construction of the second Pyrum plant was submitted on time,” it added.
At its flagship facility in Dillingen, Pyrum said it had reached an important milestone in the rollout plan of the recently added production lines (TAD 2 and 3).
The company has registered almost 2,000 operating hours at TAD 2 and over 1,000 operating hours at TAD 3, meeting basic requirements of partners such as Remondis for their final investment decisions.
Furthermore, the production intervals of the two new lines have been extended from the original four weeks to four and a half weeks.
These adjustments, according to Pyrum, will lead to “a significant increase” in the efficiency of the production processes and an increase in production output in the future.
“With the submission of the building permit for Pyrum GreenFactory II GmbH, we have overcome the last major obstacle before the groundbreaking ceremony in spring 2025,” said CEO Pascal Klein.
