HF advancing new condition monitoring software

Global project focused on development of advanced CM technology for both mixing lines and curing presses
Hamburg, Germany – Among the first global projects to launch following the merger of HF Mixing and HF TireTech (ERJ report) is the development of advanced condition-monitoring (CM) technology for both mixing lines and curing presses.
According to Jeremias Neuhaus, head of digital solutions at HF Group, the joint programme builds on the development of HF Xplore software and related initiatives and experiences at the rubber machinery & systems major.
“We are heavily working on the development and looking forward to presenting our new product and machine monitoring solutions,” Neuhaus explained in a written statement to ERJ – citing Tire Tech Expo 2025 as a target launch-platform.
Since 2022, the Hamburg-based group has embarked on a strategy to advance its position in the field of digital technology, as evidenced by HF Xplore, which is principally designed to detect and predict maintenance issues at tire plants.
On the mixing side pilot projects were started to monitor the machine status.
Applications for the software tool have, to date, centred on curing-presses, with a number of pilot projects providing feedback from customer on how the technology can best be adapted to meet their requirements.
And now, said Neuhaus, HF has decided to expand the capabilities of its CM software to a broader range of tire equipment and processes – a goal in-line with the remit of the merged entities.
In terms of timescale for introducing the new CM technology, Neuhaus envisages an MVP product launch during Tire Tech Expo and a programme of pilot projects with customers to further develop the solution.
