Jongho Park to lead European operations, replacing Sanghoon Lee who is taking on the top role at the Korean tire maker
Neu-Isenburg, Germany – Hankook Tire & Technology has promoted its European president Sanhoon Lee to president and co-CEO – along with CEO Jong-sun Ahn.
Jongho Park will lead the tire maker’s European operations as the new chief operating officer and president for Hankook Tire Europe, the Korean tire maker announced 4 Dec.
The reshuffle is linked to moves to integrate newly acquired automotive parts supplier Hanon Systems within the wider Hankook & Co. Group. (ERJ report)
As part of the process, Lee Soo-il, vice chairman and CEO of Hankook Tire, has been appointed as task force leader for the integration.
Jongho Park joined the Hankook Tire Group in 2015, serving as chief purchasing officer and head of the Korea business headquarters.
Prior to joining Hankook, he worked as certified public accountant at Deloitte, and 15 years as COO at Humax, a South Korean venture company.
“Europe is one of our core markets and is currently undergoing a profound transformation in the mobility sector,” said Jongho Park.
Hankook, added the new European leader, aims to “play a key role” in shaping the transformation and strengthening its market position.
