Goodyear, Michelin land US military tire contracts

Three-year contracts awarded by the Defence Logistics Agency worth over $240m
Washington – The US Defense Logistics Agency has awarded three-year contracts for the supply of ground tires to Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Michelin North America and Pomp’s Tire Service Inc.
The firm-fixed-price awards include a $134.8 million deal for Goodyear, a $108.2 million contract for Michelin and a $23.3 million deal for Pomp’s Tire Service Inc., said the US Department of Defense 18 Nov.
The deals are three-year contracts with no option periods with completion deadline of 10 Dec 2027.
The tires will be used by US military services, including the army, air force, navy, and marine corps.
