Authorisation enables Pyrum to grind raw coke from new production lines in existing mill to produce rCB
Dillingen/Saar, Germany – Waste tire pyrolysis company Pyrum Innovations AG has obtained an ‘unlimited delivery approval’ from Continental AG for the supply of its recovered carbon black (rCB).
As part of the Continental audit, Pyrum carried out process capability analysis for the two new lines recently put into operation at its facility in Dillingen, said the company 21 Nov.
The results, Pyrum said, showed that the products met the standards required by the automotive industry.
On this basis, Continental has granted Pyrum authorisation to supply Pyrum rCB from the additional TAD 2 and TAD 3 lines.
According to Pyrum, the audit was necessary in order to grind the TCU (raw coke) from the two new lines in the existing mill into rCB and then deliver it to Continental for use in tire production.
Earlier in the year, the plant’s shredder was approval by Continental, meaning that Pyrum has now received unlimited delivery approval for the entire plant in Dillingen.
The ‘milestone approval’, said CEO Pascal Klein, will be help Pyrum achieve “a significant increase” in sales next year.
The company is now planning to further increase rCB volumes by installing a new grinding and pelletising plant, scheduled for first quarter of 2025.
