Rubber Research Institute of India to examine and optimise oils produced by local energy company IOC
New Delhi – The Rubber Research Institute of India (RRII) and Indian Oil Corp. (IOC) have signed an MoU to carry out a joint study into optimising process oils.
The partners aim to advance the use of rubber process oils produced by IOC in different tire and non-tire rubber products, RRII announced in a recent bulletin.
The research will examine the impact of the oils on the performance of various rubbers, seeking to optimise the efficiency and durability of end-products.
Furthermore, the study will encompass sustainable oils: assessing their environmental properties towards developing “safer materials for industrial use.”
RRII, which will carry out production trials and technical tests, said the goals are to develop “next generation of rubber compounds and promote responsible manufacturing practices.”
