Shandong-based tire maker to have total capacity to produce 10m units of PCR tires per year
Heze City, China – Sanli Tire Manufacturing Ltd has unveiled a new project to add capacity for over 3 million units per annum of passenger car tires.
The new 3.38 million capacity will be targeted towards ‘high-performance new energy passenger car tires, announced the Shandong province-based tire maker 16 Nov.
Covering a construction area of 100,000 sq.m, including 66,000 sq.m of production workshops and 14,000 sq.m of warehouses, the project will involve an investment of yuan640 million (€84 million).
In a public disclosure notice earlier in the year, Sanli said it had purchased 162 units of key equipment including three internal mixers, composite extrusion lines, 90 vulcanisers, calenders, and 12 moulding machines.
The project's products mainly include 2 million large-size high-performance car radial tires with low profile, 800,000 new energy vehicle tires, 500,000 runflats, and 80,000 self-repairing tires.
Set for completion April next year, the project will bring the total PCR production capacity at Sanli’s facility in Heze to 10 million units per year.
The company also produces truck & bus tires, medium-sized and giant engineering tires as well as agricultural tires, under brands such as Sanli, Bearway and Marsway, according to the company’s website.
