“Manufacturing will continue to take place in Fulda" with new site to focus on enhancing local support...
Fulda, Germany – UTH GmbH is increasing its presence in the US with a new base in Fort Mill, South Carolina, the family-owned specialist in fine mesh straining, extrusion and mixing said 14 Oct.
The move responds to “customers' growing needs and specific requirements [of the] the rubber and silicone processing industry," said Julia Uth, who is overseeing the US project.
Other drivers for the decision included “the numerous tire and rubber companies located here," continued the company, adding that sealants & adhesives is also a target area.
Emphasising that “manufacturing will continue to take place in Fulda," UTH said the new site is focused on enhancing local support: improving response times, spare-parts procurement and service efficiency.
Newly appointed general manager of sales & service Bill Bisson has been supporting UTH’s US team with extensive market knowledge since late August, it further noted.
Bisson “brings a wealth of experience in rubber extrusion and gear pump systems, as well as the North American market,” said the Fulda-based company.
