Tool delivers “real-time and historical data” about performance indicators and driving events such as idling, speeding and harsh braking
Hanover, Germany – Bridgestone’s fleet management operations Webfleet has debuted an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant to help fleet managers interact with their data more easily.
Launched during the IAA Transportation 2024 in Hanover 17 Sept, the feature will enable fleet managers to access their increasing fleet data through asking questions from the assistant.
With the technology, fleet customers "can take data-driven actions faster and with more clarity to improve their operations,” said Raghunath Banerjee, VP data solutions, Bridgestone Mobility Solutions.
The AI assistant is currently introduced as a beta project in collaboration with customers to further develop the solution.
The beta project will first focus on the Webfleet OptiDrive solution to provide feedback based on precise answers to driving behaviour challenges.
The tool delivers “real-time and historical data” about key fleet performance indicators, including fuel and energy consumption, and driving events such as idling, speeding and harsh braking.
Fleet managers, added Bridgestone, can ask the system to provide statistics for all driving time and total mileage for their drivers, or the fuel consumption trend over a certain period.
The system, it added, provide “precise overviews in seconds.”
To provide data security, Bridgestone said the software is ISO27001 certified and the data is kept within the Webfleet environment protecting sensitive fleet data.
