Denka raising chloroprene rubber prices
Price revision of ‘more than $500/tonne’ due to higher production, transportation costs
Tokyo - Denka Co. Ltd has announced plans to increase prices for chloroprene rubber products, marketed under the brand name ‘Denka Chloroprene’.
Effective 2 Sept, the price increase is “more than $500 or €460 per tonne”, depending on the destination, said Denka 19 Aug.
The Japanese supplier cited the ‘continuously rising cost’ of production and transportation for the price revision.
“Our effort alone cannot absorb all the rising costs although we are making the best effort to minimise it,” it added.
The price increase, Denka said, will help maintain the stable supply and business continuity.
