Malaysia's natural rubber production drops 9% in April

Month-on-month, NR production declined nearly 21% compared to March
Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia's natural rubber (NR) production fell by 9.1% year-on-year in April to 21,325 tonnes, according to the country’s ministry of economy.
Month-on-month, NR output fell 20.9%, compared to 26,966 tonnes reported in March, the department of statistics announced 11 June.
Total stocks of natural rubber in April stood at 211,119 tonnes, down 5.1% compared to 222,455 tonnes in March.
In terms of exports, NR shipments fell 18.9% month-on-month to 47,796 tonnes, against 58,965 tonnes in March.
Destination-wise, China remained the main importer of Malaysian NR, accounting for 44.8% of total exports in April. India (11.4%), Germany (8%), the United Arab Emirates (4.3%), and Pakistan (3.9%) formed the top five importers.
