Signs deal to purchase distribution arm of DBH, specialised in advanced materials and additives
Antwerp, Belgium – Belgian distributor Azelis has expanded its footprint in Germany with an agreement to buy the distribution business of DBH Osthandelsgesellschaft mbH (DBH).
The DBH operation specialises in the distribution of advanced materials & additives (AM&A) in Germany and central & eastern Europe (CEE), announced Azelis.
The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2024, according to the Belgian group's 10 April release.
DBH will enhance Azelis through its “diverse product portfolio, expertise in the German rubber and plastic additives market and long-standing partnerships with blue-chip principals.”
The German distributor will also bring an “extensive customer-base and strong local sales team”, improving the group’s product offering and customer reach, said Azelis.
Established in 1990 and based in Berlin, DBH has 12 employees supporting nearly 200 customers, according to the Azelis statement.
The acquisition ‘solidifies’ Azelis’ position in the advanced materials and additives market in the EMEA region, said Dr Uwe Zakrzewski, managing director Azelis DACH.
“With DBH's expertise and strong presence in this sector… we will significantly reinforce our footprint and enhance our ability to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” Zakrzewski added.
