Nova Motorsport founded by Paul Hallas, MD of UK-based compounder SPC Rubber Group
Westbury, UK – A new global motorsport brand Nova Motorsport has launched in the UK with a mission “to revolutionise the world of premium competition and specialist tires.”
Founded by Paul Hallas, managing director of parent company SPC Rubber Group, the new business is to create innovative tires for the "racetrack and beyond", according to a 23 Jan announcement.
Nova Motorsport, it added, aims to be “the number one choice for specialist high-performance, low-volume automotive manufacturers, connoisseurs and private collectors.”
“Our strategy is inspired by the opportunity to flip the motorsport tire business marketing model on its head by focusing solely on low-volume racing and specialist tires,” said Hallas.
“Supported by our established parent company, SPC, and new business partners internationally, we look forward to growing the Nova Motorsport team, business and brand globally,” he added.
Backed by a team of motorsport and tire industry experts, Nova Motorsport said it will introduce innovative products to the competition and specialist tire market this year.
The team includes Paul Coates, who was formerly head of Avon Motorsport with extensive experience in motorsport disciplines, including Formula 1, rallying and rallycross.
“Many of the world’s tire manufacturers look upon the low-volume racing and specialist tire sector as a marketing tool for their broader business,” noted Coates.
“For Nova Motorsport, this is our only business,” he said. “This gives us the flexibility, focus and dedication to deliver exceptional products” and service, he added.
Nova Motorsports said it will provide more details about the brand’s products and partnerships in the coming weeks.
The brand will be an exhibitor at classic car show Retromobile, being staged 31 Jan to 4 Feb in Paris.
