Toyoda Gosei starts up airbags, safety systems manufacturing plant
South China unit to address anticipated increase in automotive production, safety regulations
Kiyosu, Japan – Toyoda Gosei has officially started production operations at a new automotive airbags and steering-wheels plant in China.
Located in southern Guangdong province, the plant is intended to strengthen the company’s position in 'mainstay safety systems', Toyoda Gosei said 29 Nov.
The Toyoda Gosei (Foshan) Auto Parts unit will help meet increasing demand for airbags and other safety systems, in-line with market and regulatory demands in China.
Spanning 54,000 square metres, the , 280-employee site employs automated and "environmentally-friendly" manufacturing and logistics techniques, noted Toyota Gosei.
