French group now supplying Dow polyurethanes in central and eastern Europe
Paris – Safic-Alcan has ‘significantly’ expanded its collaboration with Dow for the distribution of polyurethane (PU) materials across the central and eastern European region.
The extended partnership now covers territories including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, and Montenegro, Safi-Alcan said 1 Sep.
The development builds on a previous supply-deal covering France, Italy, the UK, the Nordics and Benelux, which was further extended to Spain and Portugal earlier this year.
Under the agreement, the French distributor markets Dow PU brand names including elastomers Hyperlast and Duorabe as well as Vorastar elastomeric coating solutions, among other products.
“These brands…cater to a diverse spectrum of industries such as oil, water, and gas transmission and storage, engineering resins, as well as adhesives, sealants, and binders,” said Philippe Cenreaud, MD performance products, Safic-Alcan.
The extension, noted Dow PU commercial director Francesca Pignagnoli, shows “the reliability and reach of Safic-Alcan” and will give customers “timely access” to a wide range of PU technologies.
