Factory automation company sees integration of technical operations and resources with Muratec
Grimsby, Ontario – Factory automation specialist Cimcorp and parent company Muratec have forged an alliance to integrate capabilities and expertise in North America to strengthen market presence.
As part of the deal, Cimcorp North America and Murata Machinery USA, Inc. aim to integrate technical operations and resources across Charlotte, North Carolian; Atlanta, Georgia; and Grimsby, Canada.
The reorganisation will see former Cimcorp CEO and Murata L&A general manager Masatoshi Wakabayashi directing ‘day-to-day’ North American operations from the group’s Charlotte HQ.
The partnership, said Cimpcorp in a recent statement, will “enhance competitive edge and deliver exceptional value to stakeholders and customers.”
Finland-based Cimcorp said the alliance would tap into its seven global facilities as well as Muratec’s “thousands of installations and first-to-market innovations”.
“This integration will harness the collective strengths of Cimcorp and Murata Machinery…[to] propel our growth in the North American market,” said Tero Peltomaeki, CEO of Cimcorp Group.
The move, according to Wakabayashi, aims to “optimise efficiencies, consolidate our efforts, and foster a cohesive and collaborative environment.”
The collaboration, he went on to say, “is already underway, with operational integration targeted for completion in fourth quarter”.
