SaarGummi opens new production plant in Poland
Facility in Sedziszow Malopolski, southern Poland, manufactures both dynamic and static seals
Remich, Luxembourg – SaarGummi Group has opened a new seals production plant in Sedziszow Malopolski, southern Poland, the company has announced.
Spanning 10,000 square metres in phase I, the facility manufactures both dynamic and static seals, Chinese-owned SaarGummi said 24 May.
The facility is set for operation next year and will supply sealing systems to the automotive industry, SaarGummi told ERJ in a statement.
Over the long-term, it went on to say, the manufacturer aims to expand the size of facility to 20,000 square metres with 600-800 employees.
According to the manufacturer, the facility will strengthen its position in Europe and increase responsiveness to market changes.
The location, added SaarGummi, will also ensure the availability of “a competent workforce, both for production and technical areas.”
With 2021 sales of €540 million, and around 6,000 employees, SaarGummi operates plants in Europe, North and South America and Asia.
Owner CQLT (Chongqing Light Industrie and Textile (Co.) Ltd) is a 100% subsidiary of SASAC, a Chinese state-owned commercial body.
