Falken appoints Bettina Feldmann as COO

Offenbach, Main, Germany - Falken Tyre Europe GmbH has appointed Bettina Feldmann to its management team as chief operations officer (COO), the company has announced.

Feldmann, who took up the new role on 1 Jan, is responsible for the operational business at Falken, which includes the operations and supply-chain management divisions. 

According to her social media profile, Feldmann previously worked for 21 years at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., most recently as manager customer operations EMEA. 

At Falken, her new responsibilities cover “the entire process, from the procurement, logistics and warehousing, to the distribution to customers throughout Europe, as well as billing.” 

Having worked in the tire industry for over 20 years, Feldmann and has extensive industry knowledge and experience in logistics, customer service and project management, the company added.

The position of COO in this form is new at Falken as among others, Markus Bögner was previously responsible for operational management in a dual role, Falken explained 8 Feb. 

As managing director, president and chief sales officer, Bögner will now increase his focus on “corporate and sales-specific management components as well as the strategic alignment of the company.”

Falken Tyre Europe is the European affiliate of Japanese tire and rubber products manufacturer Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.
