GLC factory-fitted with EcoContact 6 Q, designed for energy-efficient driving on all drive types
Hanover, Germany - Mercedes-Benz is fitting its new compact SUV GLC with tires from Continental, the German tire maker has announced.
All the available drive types – petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid models – will come factory-fitted with Continental’s EcoContact 6 Q.
The tire is designed to offer long service life, low fuel consumption and very low rolling noise on a diverse range of vehicle models, according to Continental.
This, it said, is achieved due to a rubber compound that reduces energy-absorption through the tire while the vehicle is in motion and, in turn, reduces friction and rolling resistance.
Service life, braking performance and handling are further enhanced by specially modified blocks, sipes and side grooves, Continental stated.
