Bridgestone partners with Lamborghini for “world-first” supercar run-flat, all-terrain tire

Nashville, Tennessee – Bridgestone Americas has partnered with supercar manufacturer Lamborghini as the sole tire supplier of the new Huracán Sterrato sports car.

The tire maker will provide all-terrain and winter fitments for what has been described as the world's first all-terrain, super sports car, equipped with a V10 engine and all-wheel drive powertrain.

The new Dueler All-Terrain AT002 tire, said Bridgestone 19 Jan, has been specifically designed for the unique engineering requirements of the supercar.

This, it went on to say, is the “world's first” supercar all-terrain tire to feature run-flat technology.

Developed and manufactured in Europe, the tire includes a new compound designed to optimise grip, with a specific shoulder integrated for additional grip in deep gravel and mud.

The tread pattern has also been optimised for “the best possible” handling and high-speed performance, Bridgestone added.
