Hyderabad, India – Apollo Tyres Ltd has launched a ‘digital innovation centre’ in Hyderabad to advance developments across a range of digital technologies.
This will be the Apollo’s second digital centre – after a unit in London – and has been set up as part of its digital strategy, which majors on implementing Industry 4.0 concepts.
The remit, therefore, encompasses technologies including internet of things, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic process automation and block chain, said Apollo 17 Jan.
The Indian tire maker expects the unit to “drive significant efficiency gains and agility in company’s supply chain,” and help deliver the company’s sustainability goals, the tire maker added.
“Digitalisation is one of the key pillars for achieving our FY26 vision,” commented Apollo vice chairman and managing director Neeraj Kanwar.
“Setting up of this digital innovation centre, along with the one in London… [will help] us solve complex business issues and [in] process transformation,” he added.
