Agreement covers Sarlink and Monprene brands of thermoplastic elastomers
Pawtucket, Rhode Island - Teknor Apex has appointed Nexeo Plastics to become a “key distributor” for its thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) across Europe.
Effective 1 Jan, Nexeo Plastics offers Teknor Apex portfolio of TPEs under the Sarlink and Monprene brands in Europe, excluding the Scandinavian and the Baltic regions.
The product portfolio, said Teknor Apex, includes styrenic block copolymers, thermoplastic vulcanisates (TPVs) and adhesion-modified grades for multi-shot moulding onto engineering resins.
Sarlink TPVs are widely used in sealing applications, offering “superior elasticity and long-term performance”, said Teknor Apex.
The materials are suited for applications in automotive, industrial, consumer, and building & construction markets.
Monprene TPEs, the company went on to say, are “extremely versatile” with a wide hardness range and broad thermal performance.
The materials are typically used in consumer products, industrial applications and packaging, and include grades formulated for food-contact applications.
