Univar continues discussions relating to 'other indications of interest'
Downers Grove, Illinois – US chemicals distributor Univar Solutions Inc. has announced that German distributing group Brenntag has ended preliminary discussions to acquire the Illinois-based company.
“The company and its board of directors are committed to acting in the best interest of its stockholders,” said Univar in a statement 2 Jan.
“And [they] will continue discussions relating to other indications of interest that have been received with respect to a potential transaction,” it added.
Univar did not provide any further details on the “ongoing process” of talks with other interested parties.
Through its exclusive relationship with Dow, Univar Solutions offers a comprehensive silicones portfolio including silicone elastomers and silanes.
The company also offers rubber additives such as antioxidants, plasticisers, accelerators, flame retardants and processing aids.
