All commodities monitored by ChemAnalyst for ERJ register week-on-week decreases
London – Following a nose-dive seen over the recent weeks, butadiene prices steadied at a low level during the trading week ended 16 Dec, while pricing for synthetic rubber materials* declined. (Click on table to enlarge).
According to the latest ChemAnalyst data, collected for ERJ, butadiene FD Hamburg prices settled at $575 per tonne during the week, on a par with the week before.
All other commodities observed saw week-on-week reductions, with styrene butadiene rubber and fluoroelastomers retreating by over 3%.
According to ChemAnalyst, the butadiene market in Europe is currently being dominated by concerns over lower demand and high inventory levels, while markets for synthetic rubber are also softening in the region.
