Distributor to supply Turkish compounder's portfolio of thermoplastic vulcanisates
Clarkston, Michigan – US chemicals distributor Chase Plastics has reached an agreement with Turkish compounder Elastron for the distribution of its thermoplastic vulcanisate (TPV) products in the US.
Effective 1 Dec, Chase Plastics will offer the Elastron V product portfolio which includes cross-linked EPDM- and PP-based TPVs.
The grades, according to Chase Plastics, have “excellent mechanical properties, quality sustainability, flexibility, and low compression set.”
The materials are used in several market segments, including automotive, medical, consumer, construction, and other industrial applications.
Noting "customer-focused synergies" between the companies, Chase Plastics president Adam Paulson said the Elastron V product line "rounds out our TPE product offering with a high-quality thermoplastic vulcanizate.”
Headquartered in Gebze, Turkey, Elastron serves the North American market from its production facility in Gainesville, Georgia.
In addition to TPVs, the compounder supplies themoplastic elastomers such as styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene, and styrene-butadiene-styrene.
