All India Rubber Industries Association and Hainan University join Singapore group
Singapore – The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) has added two new associate members in line with its objective of building a better and sustainable rubber economy.
All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) joined the association on 13 Dec, while China’s Hainan University became a member the day before, IRSG said in separate announcements.
Established in 1945, AIRIA looks after the interest of the Indian rubber industry in both tire and non-tire sectors, covering products, raw materials and machinery.
Headquartered in Mumbai, the association has around 1,300 members affiliated to it and has regional offices in New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai as well as ‘chapter offices’ in Pune and Gujarat.
The association acts as “a catalyst” between the trade and industry and the authorities.
Another new member is China-based management school of Hainan University, founded in 2019.
The college was formerly the school of economics and management at Hainan University, established in 1980 with original focus on agricultural and forestry economic management.
It provides business administration and doctoral programmes, with the objective to promote the “cross-integration and development of multi-management subjects.”
