Polish manufacturer says ‘committed to supporting North America rubber & tire industry’
Oswiecim, Poland – Polish rubber and speciality chemicals company Synthos SA has welcomed a determination by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) which has cleared imports of emulsion styrene butadiene rubber (ESBR) from the Czech Republic and Russia to the country.
The 8 Dec determination found that ESBR from the said countries were not sold in the US at less than fair value, and, consequently, the local industry was not injured or threatened with material injury by the imports.
“As a producer of ESBR in the Czech Republic, Synthos welcomes this decision by the USITC,” said the company 9 Dec.
Synthos manufactures synthetic rubber across its facilities in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland.
In its statement, the company said it was “committed to supporting the North American tire and rubber goods industry” with its broad portfolio and sustainable technologies.
