Japanese group receives ISCC Plus certification on multiple products at multiple sites
Tokyo – Asahi Kasei has advanced its sustainability efforts with the recent attainment of the international sustainability certificate ISCC Plus for several of its products.
Among other products, Asahi Kasei’s Tufdene solution-polymerised styrene butadiene rubber and Diene- and Asadene-branded polybutadiene rubbers were recognised by the ISCC Plus, said the Japanese group 15 Nov.
Furthermore, butadiene produced by subsidiary Okayama Butadiene Co. was granted the sustainability recognition.
The ISCC Plus certification ensures that biomass, recycled materials and sustainable feedstock are appropriately managed under the mass-balance method throughout the supply chain including manufacturing processes.
