Collaboration aims to better guide fleet managers and drivers via mobile devices
Amsterdam - Webfleet Solutions, owned by Bridgestonem has partnered with mapmaker and location technology company TomTom to launch a new support facility for fleet managers and their drivers.
The Webfleet Work App and TomTom Go Fleet App is intended to address every-day driving challenges, including route compliance, on-time deliveries and safety concerns, Webfleet said 16 Feb.
The app it stated, “empowers professional drivers to get their jobs done easily and efficiently with nothing more than their Android mobile devices.”
Support includes locating vehicles, logging work times, registering drivers, managing orders and schedules and two-way communication with the back office.
The TomTom Go Fleet app is “seamlessly integrated, allowing drivers to always have the most up-to-date maps with traffic and navigation at their fingertips in a single location.”
The Webfleet app enables businesses and drivers to leverage their existing mobile devices to effectively manage day-to-day tasks, said Paul Verheijen, VP product management at Bridgestone Mobility Solutions
In combination with the TomTom Go Fleet app, “we can offer even greater value to our customers providing an integrated solution,” added Verheijen.
