Focus on 'plastics' but service also covers additives for elastomeric materials within group portfolio
Ludwigshafen, Germany – BASF has extended a global regulatory support service for customers to include “plastic” additives customers, the German chemicals maker announced 15 Feb.
Called RegXcellence, the service is designed to help customers to navigate and remain compliant within a constantly changing and complex regulatory landscape.
Support measures include the provision of expert advice and digital solutions to simplify regulatory issue management as well as advisory support for R&D projects.
“With the extension of the RegXcellence service to include plastic additives, we now enable our customers to benefit from our extensive regulatory service and expertise,” said Dr. Thomas Kloster, president, performance chemicals, BASF.
Together, we can mitigate business risks, accelerate innovation, and achieve sustainable growth through regulatory compliance,” added Kloster.
Asked if the service applied to additives for elastomer materials in BASF’s portfolio, a spokeswoman pointed to additives used in thermoplastic polyurethanes and thermoplastic polyolefins.
“These additives would also be covered by RegXcellence support for our customers,” said a written statement from Lilian Hoh, communications, performance chemicals Europe at BASF.
BASF already offers RegXcellence services to customers of its fuel and lubricant solutions, plasticisers, pharma solutions and human nutrition businesses.
