Houston, Texas -- Texas Petrochemicals LP, a Houston-based petrochemical company specialising in C4 hydrocarbons, today announced the company has safely resumed its operations and all units are on line following a planned shutdown of its Houston facility in anticipation of Hurricane Rita's landfall.
In a statement, the company said, "TPC initiated the process of restarting the Houston facility on Sunday, September 25 and today has safely completed a return to operations without a safety or environmental incident. As a result of the timely execution of the startup process, the company expects to be able to fulfill its customer product requirements. The company's top priority throughout the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Rita was the safety and well being of its employees, their families and the surrounding community."
