Teklas to use water injection moulding for plastic components
ERJ staff report (DS)
Kappel-Grafenhausen, Germany -- Teklas Kaucuk A.S. is known as an innovative Turkish automotive supplier in the area of rubber and natural rubber applications. Since January 2010 Teklas has now successfully manufactured media supplies through water injection technology (WIT) in Bulgaria.
With the development and repeat order over the cooling water line system of the German automobile manufacturer Opel (Type Corsa 1.4) the decision was also taken at Teklas to get in into the technology of 3D injection moulded media supplies with water injection technology. Initial orders would be fulfilled using conventional steel systems, with the plan to move to WIT plastic pipes from January this year.
Up to now now, the plant in Kardzhali was exclusively specialised in the production of rubber tubes. Merely some function components were injected to the rubber tubes with the injection molding. To this day, more than 100.000 assemblies with the WIT media lead were delivered just in time with a constant quality which is only so practicable with WIT.
