Claudio Zanardo to replace Pietro Berardi who is leaving the company to pursue a new career
Rome, Georgia – Pirelli North America has named Claudio Zanardo as its CEO to replace Pietro Berardi, who is leaving the company “to pursue a new professional challenge.”
Effective 1 Nov, Zanardo will be responsible for the car, motorcycle and cycling businesses, as well as manufacturing facilities in Rome, Georgia, and Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico.
Zanardo will join the North American team from Pirelli's Milan headquarters, where he has most recently served as SVP Moto and Velo.
According to Pirelli, Zanardo has “extensive experience” in the automotive industry with over a decade's experience at Ducati Motor Holding, where he covered roles of increasing responsibility, including head of sales strategies and planning.
He joined Pirelli in 2015, taking charge of marketing and controlled retail for Europe. A year later, he took over the responsibility for Driver Italia, Pirelli's franchise network.
He was then appointed country chief executive officer of Italy, before moving to the role of SVP Moto in January 2020. In February 2021 he was also given responsibility for the Velo business.
