Event to maintain "hybrid format" offering both a physical and a digital platform for participants
Cologne, Germany – The Tire Cologne has confirmed that its 2022 event will take place as scheduled, to provide the “first opportunity” for the global industry to convene post Covid-19.
Held by the German Tire Retailers and Vulcanisaiton Trade Association BRV and Koelnmesse, the event will take place at Cologne’s trade fair grounds on 24-26 May 2022, the organisers announced in a recent statement.
Tire Cologne 2020 was cancelled due to the global outbreak of Covid and was postponed to 2021 to be held in a ‘hybrid’ format - offering both a physical venue and the TTC @home virtual platform for participants. However, the 2021 edition was also postponed due to the pandemic.
In their latest announcement, the organisers said they would maintain the hybrid format in 2022 and will address key issues arising from the pandemic such as digital transformation, human resources and sustainability.
“We see Tire Cologne as a global industry gathering and the leading international trade fair, which will play a crucial role in the resumption of face-to-face communication in the post-Covid-19 era,” said Johannes Kuderer, managing director of Pneuhage Management GmbH & Co. KG.
