Preliminary ruling follows investigation into supply of the synthetic rubber from the US, South Korea and the EU
Beijing – China is to impose a ‘margin ratio’ of between 12.5% and 222.0% on imports of EPDM originating in the US, South Korea and EU, China’s ministry of commerce has announced.
The measure, to take effect from 28 Oct, follow a preliminary ruling in an anti-dumping investigation into supply of the synthetic rubber from the countries and region.
The investigation found that the EPDM imports were dumped, causing ‘substantial injury’ to domestic industries, said the ministry’s 23 Oct notice.
The market probe was conducted “in strict accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of China and the relevant rules of the WTO," it added.
