Clermont-Ferrand, France – Michelin has inaugurated a career development centre, dubbed Hall 32, at its Clermont-Ferrand headquarters in order to ‘promote industrial careers’.
The centre, opened 13 Sept, offers a “brand-new approach” to profession training, said Michelin in a press release 18 Sept.
Featuring a fabrication lab (FabLab), a design lab with equipment like 3D printers and a “factory of the future” production line, the centre is claimed to offer “high-performance, innovative resources for businesses and trainers.”.
The centre, said Michelin, aims to create “a truly outstanding industrial career training programme”, and change the public perception of industry to attract talent.
The unit will serve 300 students doing their initial training and 1,800 continuing education trainees, said Michelin without giving further details.
