Tokyo – Teijin has reported “firm” sales of aramid fibres for automotive applications during the three months ended 30 June.
Sales of Twaron para-aramid fibers expanded steadily, centered on automotive applications, such as friction materials and rubber reinforcements, the Japanese company said 1 Aug.
Sales of meta-aramid fibers were “robust for use in automotive applications such as turbocharger hoses, as well as protective clothing and industrial applications,” added Teijin.
