Worth up to $15.6m, contracts are from the Swiss defence forces and a separate partner nation
Newmarket, Ontario – AirBoss of America has announced new defence orders worth up to $15.6 million (€13.7 million) from the Swiss defence forces and a separate partner nation.
The Swiss order covers ‘moulded AirBoss lightweight overboots’ (MALO) under a two-year contract valued at up to $9.2 million, said the Canadian compounder 7 April.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of the year, said Airboss noting that it has sold over 6.1 million pairs of AirBoss overboots to-date.
The second contract, worth up to $6.4 million, includes ‘low burden masks’ (LBMs), filters and accessories.
The LBM is a lightweight military respirator designed to provide "optimum weight distribution and minimal breathing resistance" and has been sold to multiple partner nations since 2017.
The group expects to start delivery of the order in the third quarter of 2025 and first quarter of 2026.
Both contracts were awarded to AirBoss Defense Group, the defence arm of AirBoss Manufactured Products.
The two new contracts highlight “the continued positive momentum in our defence business,” said Chris Bitsakakis, president and co-CEO of AirBoss.
