Hot cast urethane elastomer wheels designed for use in industrial applications for trolleys, carts, pullies and AGVs
Osnabruck, Germany – German wheel and castor manufacturer Raeder-Vogel has developed a 'new generation' of anti-static elastommer wheels, based on Huntsman polyurethanes.
The Pevotec wheels are produced using Huntsman’s Tecnothane-branded hot cast elastomers and are designed for use in industrial applications for trolleys, carts, pullies and AGVs.
The wheels prevent the build-up of static on wheels which can result in uncomfortable and sometimes painful shocks to personnel handling the equipment or moving cars, said Huntsman's 17 March release.
The static build-up, it added, can also damage electrical components of vehicles, in addition to attracting dust and particles would could lead to contamination.
The wheels are available in a variety of options ranging from 55 to 97 shore A hardness, according to Huntsman.
Target applications include AGVs for warehousing and logistics, automated car park systems, clean-room trolleys, pulleys and mining lift-shafts.
