Turkey launches antitrust probe into 17 tire companies

Findings of preliminary review support launch of full investigation, says competition authority
Ankara – Turkish authorities have started an investigation into 17 tire companies operating in the field of tire production and distribution, the official body announced 11 Dec.
The official probe follows a preliminary investigation, the findings of which were “serious and sufficient” to launch the process, said Turkey’s competition authority Rekabet.
The companies are being investigated to determine whether they violated regulations concerning price-fixing, control-of-supply to the market or activities that restrict or hinder competition.
The companies named by the authority are as follows:
